hand-cut silhouettes from your photos
how to order online:
Step 1: take a photo
Take a head and shoulders photo at the eye level of the person having a silhouette done preferably standing to have good posture.
The photo can be of the left or right side but preferably of the right like the accompanying photo. Try to have a plain background and avoid using a flash if possible as this tends to create a strong shadow.
To avoid distortion of the profile image, ensure that the camera is at least two or three metres away from the subject. They should have a relaxed look to their face and not be eating or smiling, just looking straight ahead at eye level.
Long hair should be pulled back to expose the neck and chin.
Don't worry if your photo is small as it can be enlarged to a workable size as long as it is in focus. Take several photos if needed. Photos taken using a mobile phone camera work well as long as the phone is held still to avoid blurring.
Rename each photo with the person's name, save it as a .jpg or .gif file and attach to an email as directed in the next step...
